We realise it can feel very unfair if you are in a game where one or more teams you are playing against are too competitive for the level of play your team is planning on/wishes. To re-address this, we have the 'Team Speed' setting, which your group coordinator can apply when creating teams on the booking system. We have three speeds that you can select from:

  • Park Run - for teams where they are likely to have slower players or maybe it's the first time doing the Run
  • Joggers - The ideal middle ground and the suggested setting
  • Runners - this is the setting for those who know the team is going to be competitive and targeting as many, if not all, of the locations in the

You have full flexibility on which speed setting you want, as it's done per team.

When our system creates the games (after the cut-off deadline) for the day, it will group all the teams based on their speed setting and make that game one of the three speeds. Other factors determine whether your teams will then be in the same game. As a worked example, you are a group that has three teams

'Group Game Setting'* is set to mix teams over different games

We won't be able to tell you exactly what setting to select for your teams as you know the Players who will be in them, but we would like to ask you to select the right setting to ensure that everyone in the game gets an enjoyable experience.
